The immediate past governor of Rivers state has being confirmed as a minister of the federal republic of Nigeria by the Senate. Despite his screening process was postponed thrice, and other challenges and allegations for him not to be screened, but he was later screened.
After the screening, they were challenges also for his confirmation, the PDP senators had to stage a dramatic walk out from the senate chambers.They demanded that Mr. Amaechi not be confirmed until the committee on ethics and privileges give their report on his conducts when he was the governor of Rivers State.
